Spread some love in a new way this February with the CC Random Acts of Kindness project!
BE INSPIRED:
The theme for this project is Random Acts of Kindness!! Traditionally Valentine’s Day is about the one you love, but in this day and age of so many people feeling disconnected from the world we thought it would be nice to go out there and share some love with some strangers.
We’re asking you to create five postcards with a message of love, support, hope, inspiration and leave them in random places through out your town or city. The idea is to leave them as a surprise for someone else to find.
We’d also love for you to put the Creative Collective contact information on them so that people can get online and let everyone know that they’ve found your special card. To help we’ve developed a postcard template that can be downloaded here at our new Forum. You don’t even have to be a registered user to do so.

To use the template simply click the link above and the download will begin. Once downloaded, print out the template and cut using the crop marks provided. Then with the details you printed on the BACK of your card go to town in creating a wonderful, inspiring and encouraging design on the blank side. Write a short message on the back [the side with the CC information] to further encourage the stranger that finds it. Then go out and leave your cards [5 in total] around your city or town!
SHARE:
We want to see what you have created! Take a photo of your newly created craft item in the place you hid it and then upload it to the Creative Collective Flickr Group. Don’t forget to include, in the comments/description fields, clues (not the actual location) for how people can find the card, how you made the card and what materials you used. The more information you can leave the greater the chance of the image being used by other people and the cards being found.
As cards are posted to Flickr the ladies of Creative Collective will post them to the Creative Collective Blog with your clues on how to find them.
This project runs from today until February 28, 2011. At the end of the month the founding members will be blogging their favourites!
Now it is time to get your craft on! We can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Hi there, i think i have done it wrong. I just made cards on the printer… i’m thinking they are supposed to be papercraft stuff for exAMPLE. . i’ll have to start again.

Hi there… I found a card at a doctor’s surgery waiting room in Canberra (Erindale Medical Centre) – I was waiting with my 18mth old who had no idea he was about to have his shots!
The card had a quote:
“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”

Bit of a bummer that Feb is now over… but its such a lovely idea, i hope you dont mind if i leave the card elsewhere for someone else to find.
