March has arrived, and with it springs a fresh and exciting challenge from the Creative Collective: it’s time to embrace the color green in all its glory! Whether you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with us or just love the color, this month is all about crafting with a conscious effort toward sustainability and the vibrant hues of green. We’re calling all crafters, artists, and DIY enthusiasts to join in our Green Craft Challenge.

Why Green?
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, green is our thematic centerpiece—not just the color, but the ethos. It’s about recycling, upcycling, and reusing materials to create something environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing. This challenge is a chance to combine creativity with eco-conscious crafting. You can transform old buttons into a chic wall clock, turn daily throw-away items into art, or craft using various shades of green to make something that stands out.
How to Participate
Create and Inspire:
Get your creative juices flowing and think outside the box. Use materials that are recycled or repurpose items that you already have to craft your project. If green is your color, let it shine in your craft in every shade imaginable.
Showcase Your Craft:
Once you’ve completed your masterpiece, take a high-quality photo and upload it to the Creative Collective Flickr Group or our Facebook Page. Make sure to detail the materials you used, your creative process, and any tutorials you might have. The more detailed your description, the better others can understand and be inspired by your work.
Engage with the Community:
The Creative Collective Forum is the perfect place to discuss your projects, exchange ideas, and even gather new inspiration. It’s a community where you can share not just your finished works but the process and the story behind them.
Blog About Your Favorite Creations:
At the end of the month, we encourage all participants to blog about their favorite projects. Our founding members will also share their top picks, showcasing exceptional creativity and storytelling through craft.

Throughout March, the Creative Collective Blog will feature green-themed projects, artists, and crafts to keep you inspired. So, make sure to check back frequently and see what your fellow crafters are up to!
Challenge Guidelines
- Crafting Criteria: Your project should predominantly feature the color green or be composed of at least 60% recycled or repurposed materials.
- Photo Submissions: By uploading your images to the Creative Collective Flickr Group, you agree to allow those images to be shared on associated blogs.
- Copyright Compliance: Ensure your photos are free from copyright restrictions to enable sharing and featuring.
- Proper Credit: All promotional images must credit the source. Failure to do so could lead to removal from current and future projects.
- Relevance to Challenge: Only submit photos that are relevant to the Green Craft Challenge. Irrelevant submissions will be removed.
